Flexible stone on a private house with round columns
Round columns wrapped in Tender Rock flexible stone
A round column is the simplest test for any cladding: if the material will not bend, it has to be cut into narrow strips and the column turns into a polygon. Here R02 Tender Rock wraps the columns along their full radius, with joints that follow the curve.
Two of them carry a cantilevered volume, clad the same way across its faces and edges. The rest of the house is no simpler: tall gables, a bay window with its own roof, a roofline that breaks several times. The thin layer runs over every one of those edges without thickening it.
The warm sand tone does not fight the red tiles — it balances them, and the mineral pigments hold their colour for 25 to 30 years.
